Summer in the Dolomites

I finally managed to post this album with the help of my beautiful, genius boyfriend IAN! .... yep the one who wrote the comment himself. Anyway I did try forever to post these pictures from last summer when Ian and I travel to the Dolomites by motorbike.... we left glorious sunny Scotland beginning of August to arrive by ferry in a very cold and wet Zeebrugge. We gave ourself two days to reach Canazei in the Dolomites. We travelled through Belgium and Germany.... we stopped for the night in some tiny place next to Saarbruecken which we found thanks to another biker who took pity on us trying to read the map in the middle of the night using the bike front light .... we then drove through a very wet and cold Austria (we got lost a couple of times because of me, who got the one task to read the map.....needless to say I was more concerned about how my hair would look like once I got out of my tight helmet!!!) to finally reach our hotel in Canazei at one o'clock in the morning..... there, we spend a week with my parents, walking up mountains .... it was absolutely stunning as you can see from the pictures...it was great fun, especially the food and drink on the chalets on top of the peaks!
